Acupuncture
Eastern Medicine, through acupuncture, acupressure, massage and pulse diagnosis, provides a traditional way of support for patients during the process of trying for a baby.
At FertiMedica, there is a pulse diagnosis, which is a natural, non-invasive and completely safe diagnostic method originating from traditional Chinese and Mongolian medicine. During the examination, the pulse is measured at six different locations of the artery radiant, which helps to observe any disturbances in the functioning of individual organs, and to detect the first symptoms of a disease.
Studies, which have been conducted for many years, show that acupuncture has a very good effect on every aspect of human health, particularly on fertility. Acupuncture can increase the chances of successful fertilization and pregnancy, and it gives particularly good results when it is used to support in vitro methods. In the case of preparations for in vitro, acupuncture improves blood circulation, production of oocytes and upon the embryo transfer it supports the process of embryo nesting and maintenance of pregnancy. It also relaxes and reduces stress. According to the medical research results published in the journal “Fertility and Sterility” in May 2006, patients who used acupuncture became pregnant more than twice as often, and were more than twice as likely to maintain it as those who did not use acupuncture.
Acupressure is a traditional method of treatment originating from China and involving compression massage of specific points of the body and the receptors corresponding to certain organs. Acupressure stimulates organs to better function in a manner similar to acupuncture. It is most effective in combination with acupuncture treatments or as its continuation. Therapeutic massage with acupressure brings excellent results also in the case of back pain and insomnia among pregnant women.
